Hutten imagined a family of objects that all sprout from the same root and that are witty in spirit yet upright in form. A free-standing pole, available in three different heights, is the focal point of the piece and with its various combinations of attachable accessories, offers a myriad of possibilities: the addition of conspicuous geometric shapes make a coat stand; a side table with the addition of suspended ropes can be used to mark areas and passages. All of the accessories work like mechanical plugs and some of them can also be used alone to become objects in their own right – wall-mounted spheres for example or small stands for candles or the Cubo ashtray by Bruno Munari.
