A simple, archetypal form becomes a reinterpretation of traditional objects such as the paperweight and the doorstop that even today we find in our daily living and working spaces. They are small gestures that interact with the environment or the personal space, minimal interventions that add quality to the everyday. Different scales and materiality define the functionality of these tools that, like a punctuation in the writing of space, indicate a sense of belonging. Two marble elements, one of the material symbol of Danese’s formal experimentation, which, thanks to the intrinsic characteristics of the material, act as paperweights and doorstops. These are joined by the new materiality of cork in a smaller element that attached to the floor blocks the end stop of the door opening movement.
